The Princeton Fire Department will be holding a small Patriot Day ceremony at the Central Fire Station beginning at 0730 on Wednesday morning.  The ceremony will last only 30 minutes.  Members of the community are welcome to observe this remembrance with the Fire Department

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

07:30 – Pre-Posting of the Guard

07:35 – Welcome/ Opening Remarks

07:40 – Commencement of the Ceremony

  • Call to Order (Honor Guard OIC)
  • Posting of the Guard
  • Reading of the Presidential Proclamation

07:46 – Lowering of the Flags accompanied by the Bugle

  • Reading of the Bell Ceremony
  • 5-5-5 Bell Ceremony
  • Moment of Silence
  • Closing Remarks

 

 

Note:  at 07:46 the sworn personnel present should come to attention upon the command” Honor Guard, Attention”, and slowly salute upon the command “Present Arms” (while the flags are being lowered).  Civilians should remove their hats and place their hands over their hearts.  The command to order arms will follow.  The bugle will be sounded during the lowering of the flags to half-staff.
