The Check Register lists all payments, including wire, ACH, and check payments, made by the City in a given month. The register lists individual payments to vendors and certain service providers. Payroll is reported as a lump sum.
The City of Princeton formally adopts its Investment Policy annually, in accordance with Chapter 2256, Texas Government Code, and the Public Funds Investment Act. This Investment Policy applies to all of the investment activities of the City. These funds are accounted for in the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
The City of Princeton has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. The award is given to local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
