Some citations may dismissed under certain circumstances.
Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility, No Driver's License
If you received a citation for Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility (No Insurance), or No Driver's License, you may request that the citation be dismissed if you can submit valid proof of insurance or a valid driver's license before 20 days after receiving the citation. Only sufficient proof that the license/insurance was valid at the date and time of the issuance of the citation can be filed with the Court for dismissal. Proof obtained after the citation was issued may not be eligible for dismissal.
If you received a citation for Expired Inspection Certificate, Expired Registration, or Expired Driver's License, you may request that the citation be dismissed if the violation was corrected within 20 days after receiving the citation. To request a dismissal, you must provide the court with a receipt for each renewal, and pay the required $20 fee for each corrected violation before 20 days after receiving the citation.
Expired Inspection Certificate violations not corrected by the 20 days or that are expired for more than 60 days will not be accepted for dismissal by the Court and the full amount of the fine will be due.
