Residential Trash Services

Overview

Princeton residential trash and recycling service includes a once-a-week fully automated collection service. Each single-family household is provided with one grey cart for trash and one blue cart for recyclables.

Please ensure the trash containers and the recycle cart are separated by at least three feet, and three feet away from obstacles such as mailboxes, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches, and ensure there is a 16-foot clearance above your cart. Please do not overfill the cart and ensure the lid is completely closed. Overloaded carts will not be serviced.

Recycling

Recycling will be collected every other week, on your trash collection day. All recyclables must be empty and clean before being placed inside the blue 95-gallon recycle cart. Place all recyclable items out no later than 7 am for pickup between 7 am and 7 pm on your service day.

If your trash service was missed, contact CWD Customer Service within 24 hours at 972-392-9300, option 2.

CWD Mobile App

Download the app (available in Google Play or Apple App Store) and easily manage your trash and recycling services.  While on the app you can schedule service, report a missed pickup, schedule a container repair, or receive service alerts.

ASL Guidelines

Automated Side Load (ASL) trucks must have adequate space in the street or alleyway for the truck to line up to a cart and allow the truck’s arm and claw to extend to retrieve the cart. To protect your property, the driver will not service your cart(s) if vehicles or other obstacles are positioned too close to the cart(s). Position the recycle cart with the wheels toward the residence.

7 feet of space from truck arm and 14 feet of clearance from tipped cart to the street is needed. i
