Story Time is more than just reading. It's about preparing our kids for the future. Story Time introduces children to early literacy skills, which refers to the development of skills children need to transition from learning to read to reading to learn. These skills include vocabulary, phonics, language, and numeracy. Early literacy gives children the foundation they need to learn and grow. Story Times are designed to introduce and practice these skills through reading, fingerplays, manipulatives, and songs.
