Lights Out Texas

  • Check out the Texan by Nature: Lights Out Texas Project, a coalition of universities, conservation groups, and museums that work towards giving migrating birds a safer pathway during migration. Birds migrate primarily at night, and many birds suffer from the negative effects of light pollution, often causing building collisions.
  • Texas is 95 percent private land ownership. Meaning it is primarily up to the public to assist these migratory birds.
  • How You Can Help
