PRINCETON, TEXAS: The Princeton Community Development Corporation (CDC) is excited to announce its partnership with Meals on Wheels Collin County. Through this partnership, the Steven and Judy Deffibaugh Community Center will serve as a new site location for the Meals on Wheels Collin County Congregate Meal Program.
Starting October 3, mobile residents aged 60 years and older are welcome to visit the Steven and Judy Deffibaugh Community Center (416 North 4th Street) for a free meal from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The program will take place every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to give senior citizens the opportunity to socialize over a free lunch. The Princeton Fire Department will also be onsite to educate residents on the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR).
The program will be unavailable on the following days:
- November 24, 2022 - Thursday - Thanksgiving Day
- November 25, 2022 - Friday - Day after Thanksgiving
- December 23, 2022 - Friday - Christmas Eve
- December 26, 2022 - Monday - Christmas Day
- December 30, 2022 - Friday - New Years Eve
- January 2, 2023 - Monday - New Years Day

About Meals on Wheels Collin County
Meals on Wheels Collin County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing meals to senior citizens. The organization partners with senior centers and other facilities to provide citizens with a physical location to gather and receive a meal. It also delivers meals directly to the homes of seniors who are disabled, homebound, or otherwise unable to leave their residence. In 2022, Meals on Wheels Collin County is prepared to provide an estimated 360,000 meals for clients throughout the county.
