City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2019 in observance of Memorial Day

City Offices will be closed Memorial Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, May 27, 2019.

On this a day of remembrance to honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives to defend America’s freedom.

Though they both pay tribute to American soldiers, Memorial Day is distinct from Veterans Day, which is celebrated annually on November 11. Memorial Day honors those who died in the line of duty, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all US military personnel, living or dead.

Join us in a memorial service, presented by VFW 9167 at the Princeton Cemetery on  Yorkshire Drive at 10 AM.

Outdoor Warning Sirens Testing – Cancelled

The City of Princeton Fire Department has cancelled testing of the Outdoor Warning System today, at 12 noon due to severe weather conditions.

Outdoor Warning Sirens (OWS) are used to warn citizens of approaching severe weather conditions and emergencies such as a hazardous chemical spill which may require Staying Put or Evacuating.  In the event of a real emergency more information can be obtained from the local radio and television broadcasts.

We perform a system test on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00 P.M.
