Mayor John-Mark Caldwell attends PISD send-of for Special Olympics

City of Princeton, TX – November 7, 2019

Mayor John Mark Caldwell and his wife, Lisa, who is a PISD board trustee, attended the Southard Middle School send-off today for its Special Olympics team traveling to Garland for the annual bowling tournament.




The Special Olympics Texas: Greater Dallas Area Bowling Competition is an area-wide competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities. This is the largest competition in the Greater Dallas Area serving approximately 3,000 bowlers. The event is hosted by AMF Lanes and USA Bowl


Weekday: 9:30 a.m  – 1:30 p.m.

Saturday: 7:30 a.m. –  6:30 p.m

School districts attend Weekday session at both alleys, all other delegations will attend Saturday, November 9th at USA Bowl

Outdoor Warning Sirens Testing – Cancelled

The City of Princeton Fire Department has cancelled testing of the Outdoor Warning System today, at 12 noon due to cloudy weather conditions.

Outdoor Warning Sirens (OWS) are used to warn citizens of approaching severe weather conditions and emergencies such as a hazardous chemical spill which may require Staying Put or Evacuating.  In the event of a real emergency more information can be obtained from the local radio and television broadcasts.

We perform a system test on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00 P.M.

Veterans Day Ceremony – November 11

The public is invited to the City of Princeton’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Princeton Veterans Memorial Park, Woody Dr., Princeton, TX 75407.

Texas Arbor Day Ceremony

The City of Princeton celebrated Texas Arbor Day today with a ceremony on Monte Carlo Blvd. The Mayor John-Mark Caldwell spoke about the new Green Initiative, a tree-planting project on Monte Carlo Blvd, and the Texas Arbor Day Proclamation for the City of Princeton. The ceremony ended with a tree planting.
