The Princeton Fire Department operates 24 hours day, 365 days a year. We employ an “All Hazards” approach to emergency incidents. Our Department attempts to staff the daily operational shift with five (5) response personnel on duty, which includes a minimum of two full-time. Part-time and volunteers bolster this staffing by working 12 and 24 hour shifts where needed. The majority of our firefighters hold Texas Commission on Fire Protection and/or State Fire Fireman’s and Fire Marshals Association certifications for: Structural Firefighter, Wildland Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Fire Instructor, Driver/Operator-Pumper, Fire Officer, Incident Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials, and others. Many of our volunteers and part-time personnel are full-time firefighters on other departments. We are committed to highly qualified and trained personnel to meet the needs of our community.
