The Princeton Fire Department operates 24 hours day, 365 days a year. We employ an “All Hazards” and Advanced Life Support (ALS) approach to emergency incidents. Our Department attempts to staff the daily operational shift with five (5) response personnel on duty, which includes a minimum of three (4) full-time. Part-time and volunteers bolster this staffing by working 12 and 24 hour shifts where needed. The majority of our firefighters hold Texas Commission on Fire Protection and/or State Fire Fireman’s and Fire Marshals Association certifications for: Structural Firefighter, Wildland Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Fire Instructor, Driver/Operator-Pumper, Fire Officer, Incident Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials, and others. Many of our volunteers and part-time personnel are full-time firefighters on other departments. We are committed to highly qualified and trained personnel to meet the needs of our community.
