Our volunteers are actively engaged with public education programs within the community. We offer station tours, provide fire apparatus visits, and operate booths at community events where we promote general fire safety and supply the public with information on Texas A&M Forest Service’s “Ready-Set-Go” program. On special occasions we can even provide appearances from Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog. If you would like to schedule a public education program for your school, organization, or home owners association please call the fire station with your request or email us at [email protected]. Programs are based on availability, and with few exceptions must be scheduled between 10 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday, except holidays.
