Chief’s Welcome

On behalf of the men and woman of the Princeton Police Department we welcome you to our website. We as an agency pride ourselves in being accessible, accountable, and dedicated to our community and the citizens we so proudly serve. We believe in partnering with our community to provide innovative services and programming to ensure that we are responsive to issues and concerns beyond just crime control.

Chief Moyle has 30 years law enforcement experience, beginning his career in 1990 as a reserve deputy with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department. 

Chief Moyle was hired by the McKinney Police Department as a full-time police officer in 1992. During his time with the McKinney Police Department Chief Moyle was very fortunate to have served in many leadership roles throughout the police department to include Professional Services, Criminal Investigations, and Patrol Operations. Additional assignments included U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force, Special Weapons and Tactics Commander, Hostage Negotiations, Law Enforcement Academy and In-service Instructor, Internal Affairs, Recruiting, Background, and Hiring.

Retiring from the McKinney Police Department in February 2019 he now proudly serves as the Chief of Police for the Princeton Police Department.

Chief Moyle currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Police Science, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy #235. He also served as an adjunct professor with the University of North Texas from 2009 through 2019 where he taught senior level criminal investigations courses.
