Keep Princeton Beautiful is a Silver Star affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful.
Keep Texas Beautiful aims to inspire and empower Texans to keep our communities clean and beautiful. KPB hopes to accomplish this through education, litter cleanups, and beautification projects.
The City of Princeton was awarded a grant from the Native Plant Society of Texas to plant a Monarch Demonstration Garden at the new Public Works building. This garden consists of native milkweed and nectar plants that give the monarchs a waystation while migrating. Girl Scout Troop 3931 volunteered their time to plant the garden at the new Public Works Building and learned about Monarchs and their importance. The Girl Scouts have adopted this site and will maintain it throughout the year. We hope the garden can be used as an educational tool for all Princeton Residents, and we are available for contact if anyone would like to visit the garden and learn about the native plants used.

Keep Princeton Beautiful was awarded an $800 dollar Native Garden Grant in 2018. Cub Scout Pack 229 and 450 have volunteered their time to plant and maintain the garden at the JM Caldwell Senior Community Park/WWII POW Camp. They learned about the importance of using native plants and their water-efficient properties.
Help keep Princeton clean and beautiful by organizing a litter cleanup! Do you want to be a part of a cleanup that fits your schedule? Free cleanup supplies are provided.
How to Volunteer
This opportunity is not available for court-ordered community service hours. Registration is required at least seven (7) business days prior to the cleanup date to receive supplies.
The Adopt-A-Spot program is a community-based program developed by Keep Princeton Beautiful and City of Princeton. It gives individuals and groups a public way to show pride in the community and to help keep it litter free. Anyone may participate by volunteering to adopt a spot in Princeton by pledging to maintain it for one year or longer and by agreeing to maintain the spots six times within the year and send reports to the Environmental Education Coordinator (Michelle Day). The program is FREE and open to all citizens.
What can be adopted: Any spot within the city limits of Princeton that is not currently being maintained may be adopted, with special attention to those places that appear neglected. A vacant lot, city medians, and city parks are possible candidates. TxDot roadways such as 380, FM 75, and 6th Street are not available to be adopted through this program.
Some spots may require litter pick up to be maintained, and others may require weeding and/or grass maintenance, as well as litter, pick up. Our Adopt-A-Spot coordinator can help you choose a location that best suits you and your group.
