Tom Harvey is the Fire Chief for the City of Princeton. He has been with the city since October of 2013. The Fire Chief is primarily responsible for evaluating the community’s risks to prevent loss of life or destruction of property as a result of fire or other hazards, and to provide administrative direction and leadership for all Fire Department functions, operations, and personnel through the supervision of its staff. His responsibility also includes development, review and implementation of all fire protection policies and procedures in accordance with the municipal, state and federal legislation, and the office of the Fire Marshal. Most importantly, the Fire Chief is charged with providing for the health, welfare, and safety of the community’s citizens and the department’s emergency response team.
