Mayor Caldwell declared Oct. 4 through Oct. 10 as Fire Prevention Week.
In the City Council meeting held on Monday, September 28, 2020, the Mayor, City Council members and the Princeton Fire Department Chief Tom Harvey, shared the importance of raising awareness about fires, especially those that start in the kitchen.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!TM” works to educate everyone about the simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves, and those around them, safe in the kitchen.
Cooking is the #1 cause of home fires and home fire injuries. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of fires in the kitchen.
